Well, it's been too long since I've posted anything. And I still don't know what I want to tell. Maybe the first poem I've ever written not for class. That ought to be sufficient for now.
Just Another Sappy Love Poem
Oh, of all the things
one could say
To the one he loves
all in one day.
It’s been done so
many ways, so many times
That now they’re only
worth just a few dimes.
Yet, my love for you
is strong,
No problem could
arise
No matter what road,
no matter how long,
You are always lovely
in my eyes.
I can’t write a
sonnet
About your Easter
bonnet.
But I will be true
In my ever growing
love to you.
I’m only one man
And I’m not
Shakespeare,
Yet I do have one
plan;
To you, make my love
clear.
You are the missing
puzzle piece
To make my life
complete.
You are as sweet as
summer rains
And the blood that
flows in my veins.
Of all the different
people
I never expected to
meet,
On a cold, clear pond
you’re like a ripple
With which none other
can compete.
As true as the summer
sky is blue,
So is my undying love
for you.
More valuable than
sofa change to a college student
Are you to my
environment.
You love me with love
so strong
I feel so inadequate.
Yet the love I posses
is long,
I’ll never be able to
quench it.
You give me strength
to rise
When I’m looked down
on by the world’s eyes.
You give much such a
joy
That no Halo game can
employ.
But how truly can I
express my love?
What can I say about
our love that keeps growin’?
It won’t be a cut
above,
But I’ll just write
another sappy love poem.
